Volunteering provides us with numerous advantages. In this case, working on our project allows me to make the best memories with my family. In order to prepare for the project, I am attempting to learn how to bake cookies from my mother. Simultaneously, I had gained more experience in order to try something new in my life. After preparing the cookies for baking, it is time to communicate and distribute the cookies. The cookie distribution was a success for me in communicating with the local residents. Despite the fact that we are not close, I make an effort to communicate with them and distribute the cookies on my own. I'm delighted to be able to present them with the cookies I made for this project. This project is enjoyable to complete, and it also teaches us not to give up when we fail to bake cookies. This was a fantastic project to complete, and it was also a success in the end.

Volunteerism generally refers to any altruistic activity involving the provision of services without the expectation of profit. There are many benefits we get when we get involved in volunteering. while I was doing a volunteer project that is “Projek Ramadan : Sebalang Kasih”, a lot of things I got and learned. On the first day, my group mates and I discussed the project journey we were going to do. There, I got an experience of working in a group. This is because, all the members of the group united in giving the idea to carry out this project. The project we want to run is to donate ‘Kuih Raya’ to the villagers. The ‘Kuih Raya’ produced must be the result of our own. So, I started thinking I would make my favorite cookies. What I got while making cookies was that I was able to learn the ways to make those cookies. It was a new experience for me. I was also able to learn the meaning of sharing sustenance. Making them happy and smiling is a satisfaction for me. Although the contribution given is very small but if given with sincerity and good intentions it will be an invaluable contribution. I hope I will continue to share my sustenance with others.

Hi, everyone. I am Nur Diana Binti Azli, and my matric number is H18A0370. Today I want to tell a story about the volunteer subject program that I took in UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA KELANTAN (UMK). I was chosen to be one of the members of Team Blueflourite led by Pn. Nurul Fardila Bt Abd Razak as the team supervisor. Not to say anything, this subject of volunteering is for me the best and affects myself not just to get enough credit. Our team has plans to donate Raya biscuits to people with disabilities such as the poor and asnaf students to celebrate Aidilfitri soon. Therefore, our supervisor has approved for us to run our program called Sebalang Kasih Program from Team Blueflourite.
On 23 April 2021, in the month of Ramadan, I bought items to make Raya biscuits and made 5 types of Raya biscuits, namely Pineapple Tart, Dahlia, Honey Conflake, Suji and Redvelvet Chip. About almost a week before the festival I was able to prepare 5 types of festival biscuits.
Next, the Blueflourite team has prepared a logo and a picture of a sticker for us to place on the raya biscuit jar. I ordered the sticker at the shopee. In 3 days until the sticker which is May 4, 2021. I have finished labeling on the jar of Raya biscuits.
On 11 May 2021, I distributed Raya biscuits to asnaf students at Madrasah Tahfiz Al-Quran Desa Darul Naim Kasih, Melaka. The asnaf students are about 20 people. I gave the Raya biscuits to the sponsor of the tahfiz center, En. Haji Abu Bakar and his wife Pn. Hajah Halimah. Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful to see that they are happy to get the Raya biscuits. Although they could not go back to the festival with their families due to the covid-19 pandemic, but they were still able to celebrate with their classmates.
The conclusion I can speak about the volunteering course is that it is one of the great programs that impacts ourselves.

Volunteering is an experience which will probably change my mind-set and outlook on the world. I learn a lot, gain skills, knowledge, and experience which I will use for the rest of my life. Perhaps, I did not make that famous difference that I had in mind. During our Volunteer program name, “Projek Sebalang Kasih” I have learned a lot. Due to pandemic Covid-19 all of us need to stay at home during ‘Ramadan’ and “Hari Raya” celebration. In our program I have learn a lot because I have gain experience to make cookies that I had never made before with my mum help. This Project help me to realize that make cookies is not an easy thing. With this project also make me very happy and honour to give the cookies that I make with all my heart to people that less capable to buy it for “Hari Raya Celebration”. Even it just a small giving but it is meaningful giving to them. In conclusion, with this program I can learn that “If we feel we are being tested in problem, think that there are still people out there who are being severely tested, so we need to thankful for what we have and what we have been given.

Hello there my thoughts! These thoughts coming through when I'm in the process of making our Ramadan's project; Biscuits Raya and I think I need to jot it down here ❤️. First thought when I'm about to begin the process, I thought of "How am I supposed to do this alone? I'm not a baker and I didn't like it because I have attempted so many times in baking, but it is just not my tea cup. I just keep failing when it comes to flour, buttercup, transform to a dough, etc 🤣" I even texted my younger sister to assist me as she is more capable in baking than me (actually she good in many things) 🤧but she refused because I need to record myself along the process. So, I'm just thought of the initiative to googling the recipe for my biscuits and I got it! I took a look at the video and I feel like "Oh this is 'kacang goreng', just a few simple steps, I can do this!" Then, after arranged the ingredients, I start to make the biscuits. On the first attempt, I was kind of impressed because the mixture turns out really well! For the first time on my first attempt! And then I start to shape out the biscuits on the baking tray. I messed up on the first attempt as it didn't stay when I'm rolling the biscuits but after a few attempts, I got a hang of it. I finally can speed up and make it more flawlessly. I never thought I can do this alone! But yeah, I've done it! 🤣 At the moment, I thought it is worth trying something new. "You never know your potential or your limit if you didn't try. Just go for it!" Thanks to this Ramadan Project, I could discover my new skill while recovering my failure in baking 🤭🥰.

My diary of this project is about what I get during this volunteer activity. Firstly, during handling this project I can learn various things such as learning how to manage the project smoothly and well, and learn how to overcome the challenges and weaknesses, that I faced while doing this volunteer project from the first day until the last day. After doing the Ramadan Project Sebalang Kasih, I believe that each of the Blueflourite members has received various benefits and opportunities to help the community by sharing sustenance with those in need. Ramadhan Project Sebalang Kasih was launched during the fasting month. So we distributed 'kuih raya' a week before the Eid celebration. During the distribution day, I found that the communities were very happy when they received the kuih raya from us. Although there are some families who are can not celebrate Eid together, but I also found that the contribution of kuih raya can indirectly make them happy. My objective when running this project is to ensure that the communities who is the less fortunate can also celebrate their Eid happily. For me, the idea of Project Ramadan Sebalang Kasih is a project that was very beneficial to me. This is because during the Covid-19 Pandemic, everyone is restricted to avoid outdoor activities to prevent Covid-19 transmission. So by doing this volunteer project, I can spend my leisure time by producing various types of 'kuih raya' to give to the community. Last but not least, although this project seems like a simple thing, for me, it is the best project that had given great meaning to me and this project also had a positive impact on my life and our community life.

What I got from this project was an attitude of wanting to give. When I make the biscuits raya, I will make them as good as possible, which means the shape of the cake, charred or not, cooked or not because we want to give it to people. Usually, if we want to give something to people, no matter if it is food or goods, we must want to give something good, beautiful. I work hard to make the biscuits in a beautiful shape, even if it is my first time to make the biscuits. Other than that, I learned to make new biscuits. Before this, when Eid came, I always made cornflakes and mazola biscuits only. But this time, I learned to make another biscuit which is I make chocolate chip cookies, semperit biscuits and crunchy cornflakes cookies. The biggest problem when making biscuits and cookies is the oven. I had not used the oven for a long time, so it has a bit problem. I hope when I give this biscuits raya to these people, they can feel a little happy even if the biscuits raya is just ordinary.

My reflection is this project was a great project to do on the holy month of Ramadan. This project gives me an opportunity to create the best memory in my studies journey. In this project, I learn how to bake cookies from the preparation until the finishing process which at the first, the result of the cookies is failed. I learnt again and think what the problem is, why it comes out failed. Then I found the answer and continue the other cookies until finish. After that, in the process to distribute the cookies, I feel happy because can share the happiness with the recipient at the end of Ramadan with two bottles of my handmade cookies. At the end of the project, I think this project should be continued in the future because it would give us the opportunity to give alms which is good and be able to increase our reward during the month of Ramadan.

On May 7, 2021, I and the group made a Ramadhan project together for a volunteerism assignment. In this project I make cornflakes biscuits to distribute to the neighbors. I make these biscuits at night in the month of Ramadan. Before I make these cornflakes biscuits, I first read the recipe on the internet. When I had finished reading the recipe on the internet, I proceeded to put together the ingredients needed to make cornflakes biscuits. Among the ingredients needed to make cornflakes biscuits are cornflakes, honey, butter and sugar. The first ingredient that needs to be put into the pan is butter. The first attempt to melt the butter into the pan failed. At first When I melted the butter in good condition. I left the pan for a while without keeping the fire in a small state to measure the cornflakes. When I returned, I was shocked because the melted butter had turned black. This isn't the first time I've made cornflakes biscuits. I made the mistake of lighting a little big fire causing the butter to get hot. The first failed attempt caused me to learn from mistakes and repeat the same process but down the fire a bit. This attempt was successful. When placing all the ingredients eventually become cornflakes biscuits. Once ready I put the cornflakes in a paper cup and put them in the oven. After removing from the oven, I cooled the cornflakes biscuits and put the cornflakes in a jar to be distributed to the neighbours in my village, Terengganu. I distribute to neighbours in my village. I feel very happy to see the smile of the recipient when receiving this gift of mine. From my project, I gained various experiences because I was able to learn from mistakes, learn to make cookies and be able to give to others from my own efforts. I hope to go through a project like this again.
